Winston Churchill Trust Building Refurbishment

AMA Projects were engaged to perform the refurbishment works of the Winston Churchill Trust building located on the Australian National University campus.

The works involved:

• replacement of existing external windows with a double-glazed system to improve thermal and acoustic properties
• complete replacement of kitchen, amenities and break-out spaces
• installation of new workstations and additional meeting rooms and office spaces.

Structural adjustments were required with the addition of LVL beams to support the trusses with new openings. This uncovered an unforseen below ceiling detail which was resolved quickly and collaborative onsite.

AMA Projects worked closely with the client and architect to ensure that the heritage considerations were attended to and that the elements of the works were effectively coordinated and client needs were met.
