AMA Projects were contracted to manage the refurbishment of both internal and external areas of an existing government building with a NLA of some 12,000m2.

The works involved:

  • refurbishment of bathrooms, end of trip facilities, new entrance foyers, new external awnings
  • a new secure shopfront to separate building entrances
  • façade upgrades, carpark works and external landscaping works.
  • implementing a Traffic Management Plan to ensure pedestrians could continue to use pathways adjacent to the building.

A number of different methods were utilised to upgrade the façade in a safe manner, including the use of boom lifts and abseiling equipment. The building refurbishment improved the shop front appearance, and created a more usable space to attract potential building tenants.
