ANU Burton & Garran Fire Stairs

The Burton & Garran Hall student residences at the Australian National University required the construction of fire stairs and some refurbishment works.

The works included:

• excavation
• concrete, steelwork, precast concrete panels
• asbestos removal
• floor finishes and painting
• bathroom upgrades
• fire services
• delivery in a fully occupied environment so noisy works and power shutdowns were performed after hours.

AMA worked closely with the design team to ensure unresolved details were agreed prior to construction, ensuring minimal defects at completion of works.
