AMA was engaged by BGIS to carry out remedial, fitout and refurbishment works in accordance with heritage consultant requirements to the Lancer Barrack Building 6 site to convert the building into a newly renovated Heritage house in preparation for the Bicentennial event occurring in 2020.

Project scope of works include the:

  • painting to all internal walls, ceilings and window and door frames
  • re-sanding the floors for a fresh, modern look
  • a full refurbishment of the kitchen including demolition of existing joinery, plumbing, splashback and furniture
  • external works including removal of timber rot and rectification to make good including supply and install of new footings for 9x posts, replacement of damaged fence panels, gutter repairs, remediation of timber panels on the roof, modification of landscaping and installtion of drains to three sides of the building with suitable landscape above and lower ground level paths to below weep holes
  • removal of external paint to expose brick face
  • installation of a tulip pattern ceiling in the front room.
