Building 94, Garden Island

The Building 94 Refurbishment Project was previously a mechanical workshop area, which has now been converted to office accommodate for naval crews berthing at Garden Island for a short term.

The refurbishment included:

• an open plan office area containing 130 workstations, four personal offices, four meeting rooms, utilities and a conference room
• a hot desk area with acoustic meeting booths
• two dining spaces with kitchenettes with appliances
• male and female change room facilities with 150 lockers and 24 showers and ablutions
• an upgraded passenger lift to meet the DDA compliance.

The project consisted of a feature ceiling with timber batten, acoustic pendants and walls to minimise noise and a floating perimeter bulkhead with services. This was a high security project and required close communication with the client.
