AMA Projects are proud to announce that we have been recognised as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards (ABA) 2021.

Company Director, Matthew Ferrari says the award is a reflection of the ‘people-first’ culture that he, alongside fellow Director’s Alex Singer and Andrew Peereboom, have worked hard to create since the company’s inception in 2010.

“AMA Projects are a leading provider of construction and project management services throughout Australia, and we have carefully curated an ‘employee-first’ environment within our business during our 11 years of operations. As a dynamic and growing company, our staff are enthusiastic about their work and are committed to delivering and continuously improving the way we do things, in order to provide better project outcomes,”

“Our commitment to workplace health, safety, quality, and environmental objectives on all projects can be achieved through various principles; the simplest of which is employing the right people, with the right training and cultural mindset, in the right positions, to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.”

We’re so proud to gain national recognition for the way we conduct our work and business, as it is a reflection of our goals to create a workplace where employees feel valued, where work/life balance is encouraged, and employees are provided with ongoing development opportunities.”

In their sixteenth year, the awards are an annual all-encompassing awards program that recognises organisations that demonstrate the core values of business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement via a set of established business and product award categories.

The Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice (EOC®) recognises organisations that develop leading workplaces that maximise the full potential of their workforce through established policies and practices that demonstrate effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has presented one of the most significant business challenges ever faced by employers across Australia. It created a critical need for leading organisations to adapt to new working environments and adopt new approaches to employee engagement whilst navigating the technical and operational constraints imposed by the lockdown,” said Ms Tara Johnston, Program Director.

“Fifty-six organisations have been selected in this year’s ABA Employer of Choice Awards. Many of these organisations have demonstrated new ways of working and learning, refining workplaces and careers with new systems to improve employee experience and efficiency.

“As the world changes, these organisations have implemented new business tools, practices, and policies to facilitate productivity beyond the physical office, presenting unique opportunities to grow personally and professionally,” Ms Johnston added.

Participation is open to all private and public companies, multinationals and their subsidiaries, non-government organisations, educational institutions, government departments, government agencies, government authorities and statutory bodies operating in Australia. Participants must demonstrate their achievements across the key areas of Organisational Culture & Leadership; Education, Training & Development; Health, Safety & Satisfaction; Performance, Recognition & Remuneration.

Entries are assessed utilising a robust and dynamic framework to ensure that the assessment process is pertinent and objective. The Employer of Choice Framework (EOC Framework) is utilised as a structured model of assessment that enables the participating organisations to be benchmarked against world-class performance standards. The EOC Framework consists of specialised assessment modules pertaining to the award category. Entries in this category are evaluated utilising the EOC Assessment module. The EOC Assessment module provides a robust set of requirements used as the methodology for benchmarking and knowledge building among the participating organisations.
