AMA Projects was engaged by the Department of Health to deliver fitout works for part of Level 15 and the entire Level 16 of 595 Collins Street Melbourne. The works are a continuation of the New Ways of Working Program, designed to create a modern, flexible and healthy working environment.

It was identified that lead times on specified custom FF&E exceeded the 9 week program. AMA Projects researched fit for purpose alternatives available to ensure the program dates were adhered to.

To accelerate the program of works to achieve the nominated practical completion, works to level 16 were separated into two zones to stagger fit out and demolition works. This allowed for multiple trades to be operating at the site at any given time throughout the project.

The project experienced extended lead times for mechanical equipment. To mitigate disruption to the practical completion date, spaces were finished with parts of the cieling remaining accessible to allow install of mechanical services out of sequence.
