The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Canberra Passport Office fitout comprised of the alteration of a 1500m2 space, delivered over two stages.

The project included:

  • the upgrade of existing walls
  • construction of new walls to meet Zone 4 security requirements
  • construction of the forensic room, training rooms, communications room and test labs
  • installation of high quality joinery and wall finishes.

AMA Projects were required to work closely with Jones Lang LaSalle and DFAT to ensure minimal disruptions to the other building occupants. To mitigate this, an external scaffold structure was built to allow contractors to enter the building and also facilitated the delivery of materials.
