AMA Projects were engaged to perform the refresh works of the Airforce accommodation facilities at RAAF Williamtown.

The works included:

  • new paint
  • floor repairs and prep for new carpet
  • new blinds
  • furniture relocation
  • make good to any damages in buildings 145, 154 and 29
  • asbestos remediation
  • installation of gutter guard and new roofing.

All AMA Projects staff had baseline or DCAC clearances and most of trade contractors had DCAC clearances, making management of works and movement between buildings a lower risk for Defence Security.

Costs were saved on storage by staging the works, so that all existing accommodation furniture could be stored in one end of the building and moved as works progressed.
