AMA Projects were involved in the refurbishment and upgrading of Mess Kitchens at multiple Defence Sites in the NNSW Region including Garden Island, Holsworthy Barracks, Randwick Barracks, Lone Pine Singleton Barracks, RAAF Richmond, RAAF Williamtown, HMAS Waterhen, and HMAS Penguin. The scope included:

  • demolition and disposal of cooking and catering equipment
  • upgrading services systems – electrical, gas, hydraulic
  • installation and commissioning of commercial grade cooking and catering equipment
  • installation of bespoke joinery and servery stations specific for Defence
  • HOTO/GEMS data updating for all equipment and equipment systems in all assets.

All the Mess Kitchens were operating at a full capacity at the time of delivery. AMA Projects developed an effective delivery and risk management plan which was clearly communicated and endorsed by the occupants and facilities managers prior to commencement. AMA Projects completed the works during after-hours to minimise any disruptions to operations.
